There are few club's in Ghana that can get the signature of coach Samuel Boadu from last three season till date has been tremendous and should be given much appraisal in his matches. Sources close to Boadu have told 442gh.com that he is expected to leave Tarkwa in the coming days and make a step up in his career with the Obuasi-based club. Ashantigold who have appointed Sarfo Castro as interim head coach following the termination of Cirkovic’s contract with the club.
Boadu has not been happy with the appointment of Seth Ablade as the Technical Director of the club which is a contributing factor to resignation. He was having his contract running out after three years stay with the club and refused to enter negotiations for an extension following the appointment of Ablade as technical director.
Hearts of Oak are believed to have made a formal request for Boadu from Medeama SC last season by the Tarkwa-based club declined the request insisting the young man was a project for the club. But with the recent sour relationship between the coach and Medeama SC, the club is ready to let go of the manager who is on his way to Hearts of Oak. He will take over from Samuel Nii Noi who is currently the stop-gap coach of the side following the departure of Kosta Papic. Nii Noi has since recorded a 100% winning start since assuming position; beating Dwarfs and Liberty Professionals respectively.
According to reports, the peeved fans prevented the playing body and technical team from leaving the Akoon Park after the team's daily training session. The supporters are demanding explanation from the club’s hierarchy over Samuel Boadu’s resignation after guiding them to a 2-0 home victory over Eleven Wonders on Wednesday. "We are not happy with the recent happenings at the club [Medeama SC]. We need an explanation from the coach's [Samuel Boadu] resignation" A fan narrated.
Samuel Boadu was at the Akoon Park to say good bye to the entire playing board and the technical team last week wednesday morning.
