There is absolute joy and jubilation all across Ghana as what was supposed to be tears has turned out to be joy.
Ghana has had a very rough ride in the world cup qualifies in Group G as we won 4 games , drew 1 and lost 1, but the match against South Africa which is supposed to be the last match for Ghana in Group G was what determines who will make it out of the group stages.
All the odds were against Ghana after Ghana's abismal performance against the South Africans but once again we proved to the world that we are the masters of big occasions.
When we needed the win the most, there it was, a penalty that was neatly converted by the captain Andrew Dede Ayew gave Ghana the lead in the first half and we continued to maintain our focus and discipline as the better team throughout the competition to seal our sport as the winner of Group G.
As it stands, Ghana has 13points at the top just like South Africa, we also have same Goal difference of +4 but Ghana has more goals scored than South Africa and that automatically seals our spot in the playoffs.
As it stands we are patiently waiting for other groups who are yet to play their last matches and we will know afterwards who we will meet in the playoffs.
But for now we have a course to celebrate and we really hope the lads will maintain their vibrance and perfect their finishing in front of goal and we can say the Black Stars of old is finally back with more fire.
