"I want to leave..." Another heavy blow to Real Madrid as star player feels his time is up at Madrid

Real Madrid find themselves in a very desperate situation amid shambolic team performance, inability to make high profile additions due to covid-19 and Zinedine Zidane temporary absence due covid-19. Everything seem to be going wrong for the Los Blancos this season.

The club have suffered another big blow following a sad news from their camp. Latest report claim, longtime defensive partner of Sergio Ramos, Rafael Varane has declared his intention of leaving the club to seek a new challenge elsewhere after this season. The French center back has been subjected to some harsh criticisms lately due to his underwhelming composure at the Madrid backline resulting in several avoidable defeats. The defender still remain vital for Real Madrid amid his recent slacks, nonetheless the 27 year old feels his time at the Spanish capital is up and has told the club he would be leaving after the end of this season. Varane joined the club in 2011 from Lens at age 17 and has gone on to be a star at Real Madrid winning 18 trophies with the club.

At the moment, it is unclear where Varane wants to move next, however at age 27, he stands the chance of securing a move to another heavy weight club.
