Great Olympics tug of peace is over as the landlords over Hearts-Sports Presenter

Twenty times Ghana Premier League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak hosted city rivals Accra Great Olympics for the "Mantse Derby" last week, January 30, 2021.

The two Accra clubs battled it out this evening for the bragging rights for the matchday 11 fixture in the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season. The last time the two teams met in the Ghana Premier League was in the 2019/2020 truncated season where the Phobians thumped the Dade Boys 4-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium. Their four wins against Olympics include a 4-0 thrashing at the Accra Sports Stadium in last season’s truncated league.

The two clubs based in the capital last two weeks locked horns at the Accra Sports Stadium to honor matchday 11 of the ongoing Ghanaian top-flight league campaign. Great Olympics talisman Gladson Awako stepped up for the kick and expertly converted into the top corner of the post. Later on, the Dade Boys scored again through Maxwell Quaye in the 16th minute to double their lead after an impressive sequence of team play.
