
Ghanaian footballer Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has retired from Black Stars, according to reports.
The ex-Kotoko midfielder feels the time is due for him to bow out of international football.
Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, 30, has been absent from international duties for some years now.
Currently, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is under contract with Italian club Hellas Verona, but is not included in their squad for the ongoing campaign.
He has earned 78 caps for Ghana national team.
Emmanuel Agyemang Badu is remembered for scoring a winning penalty on October 16, 2009 against Brazil, to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup. This made Ghana, the first African country to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
In 2010, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu was selected for his African Cup of Nations, as Black Stars fell to Egypt in the finals, in Angola.
