“Inaki, Tariq Lamptey And Salisu Mohammed Impressed Against Brazil” - Ex-Fulham Star

Ex-Ghana international, John Paintsil has said that, the new boys in the squad have made a good case for themselves.

Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams, defenders, Tariq Lamptey and Salisu Mohammed of Brighton and Southampton made their debut for the Black Stars against Brazil last Friday.

Their debut however ended in a loss with Ghana suffering a 3-0 defeat against the Seleçao in Le Havre, France but the trio gave a good account of themselves.

John Paintsil told Radio Gold Talk Sport: “I think all of them were introduced a bit in the second half and all of them were ready to also give an account of themselves and the nation.

“Their commitment level and their enthusiasm that they showed shows that they are ready to fight for the nation.

“For me I have confidence in those boys although they don’t know the our culture properly.

“And if you look at the line up and the first team that played, they have played together and they know the culture.

“So the names that you mentioned, as they are coming, the more that they play, the more they get the experience.

“I believe that we have a fantastic squad and it’s up to the coach to put them together and blend them to become one team.” John Paintsil told Radio Gold Talk Sport.
