Kevin Taylor, a producer and the CEO of Loud Silence Media said that, Charles Kwabla Akonnor, a former Ghanaian international footballer who is the current head coach of the Ghana National football Team should speak for himself else he will be sacked.
Kevin said this on his 'With All Due Respect' program hosted on the Loud Silence Media.
He said that Ghanaians have confidence in Charles, popularly known as, C.K. Akonnor, and they believe he can build the national football team to a higher level. Meanwhile, an assistant Dutch coach Patrick Greveraars has been appointed to assist Charles in his job. Kevin stated that, appointing an assistant coach from outside Ghana indicates that C.K. Akonnor may be sacked.
He said, "You are the coach and you don't have to allow this second division coaches to be appointed. They will fire you. If you are not confident to speak, we won't be able to support you. Everything shows that they are plotting your eviction."
He continued that C.K. Akonnor is coaching a team (Black Stars) he has played in before. Ghanaians jubilated when Charles was appointed because they have chosen their own to handle the Black Stars.
"Why are you not confident to speak when things are not going on well? Why can't you speak for yourself?" He asked.
He said he admits that when you're coaching a national team, it will take time for the team to be built, but he is concerned about why C.K. Akonnor did not speak out when they were bringing an assistant coach who is not a Ghanaian to assist him.
He said The assistant coach might be even be paid money more than C.K. Akonnor.
He asked, "What can the newly selected coaches do that a Ghanaian Coach cannot do?"
