Zinedine Zidane, the best goal ever

Zinedine Zidane, a genius, ushered in a new era in football with his elegance and technical prowess.

Zinedine Yazid Zidane (born 23 June1972), nicknamed Zizou, is a former French professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.

The French midfielder, blessed with a natural talent for this sport, won everything that could possibly be won, both with his clubs and with the French national team.

A magical player who chose to end his historic sporting career with Real Madrid, with whom he won the 2002 Champions League.

The best goal

One of Zidane's greatest moments came on February 25th,1998, in Marseilles, at the Stade Velodrome, when he scored a phenomenal chip against Norway, despite France being held to a 3-3 draw.

How he scored the goal.

Deschamp delivered a long and accurate pass to Zidane, who received it and controlled it brilliantly, dribbling past two defenders and lobbing the ball past the goalkeeper.

This goal put France ahead 2-1 on Zida, who was named man of the match and scored twice before the second half to help France win the World Cup.
