So this is the way it feels to be an England fan with nothing to groan about

"I just idea it's anything but a splendid evening," Gareth Southgate told the BBC, placing the country's eruption of bliss into seven commonly downplayed words. He was correct. Britain two, Germany nil – a splendid evening.

The inquiry is: what's the deal? Cheerful? After we've played Germany at the football? What is this inclination and how would we manage it?

Britain's heavenly, strong, knee-taking, rainbow banner wearing, Marxist-Southgateist young men didn't put a foot off-base and the populace is confounded, speechless. No strategic doubts, no harmful impacts in the crew, no requirement for a substitute. Simply a decent gathering of pleasant youngsters doing decent things that make us grin.

With nothing to whine about, what does the English country of moaners say? What bile does its newspaper media find to fill pages? What mean remarks do the holier-than-thou, edified and modern England fans make on Twitter?
