Head Coach of the Black Galaxies, Annor Walker has named his team for the upcoming CHAN qualifiers. The Black Galaxies will first host Benin in Cape Coast for the first leg before jetting to Benin a few days later for the return leg. FA Cup champions Hearts of Oak are well represented in the squad with 5 players. Their first-choice goalkeeper Richard Attah was however conspicuously missing from the squad list.
The five Hearts of Oak players called up are Seidu Suraj, Gladson Awako, Dennis Korsah, Afriyie Barnieh and Mohammed Alhassan. The inclusion of Gladson Awako surprised me a bit because he had a topsy-turvy season. He is a very good player though but flattered to deceive throughout the season. Barnieh's inclusion is apt as well as the others from the phobians.
The Black Galaxies have missed the last 3 editions of the CHAN tournament. We are hoping that they will make it this time around and give a good account of themselves.
