South Africa’s Incompetence exposed as FIFA investigates Match Fixing Issues.

According to FIFA, South Africa has filed a compliant of match fixing issues in their game against Ghana at the Cape Coast stadium. The game which saw the Bafana Bafana boys taste defeat courtesy a controversial penalty on Daniel Amartey gave the Black Stars of Ghana an automatic qualification to the playoff stage of the World Cup Qualifiers.

Today, the South African Football Association (SAFA) organized a press conference to update the press and other citizens in South Africa about their progress with the lodged case at FIFA. Carefully following the press conference, one could feel the sense of disappointment and incompetence on the side of the South African Football Association.

In their press briefings, the president of SAFA explained that they had information that Ghana was going to do everything to win the match. He also stated that there were reports that indicated that Ghana was going to have two penalties or at least one and therefore this is the base of their argument to FIFA.

To be clear, this was a decisive Ghana and both team needed to be on their top form to qualify. Ghana needed a win and South Africa had to avoid defeat. On the issue of penalties, I ask, which team does not prepare to face a penalty situation in a competitive game?

The South African Football Association is probably annoyed after they lost their place in the 2022 AFCON to Sudan and have now also lost their ticket to the world cup in the last game of the group stage. All the ranting and talk of FIFA to replay the game shows how incompetent their FA has been.

Even if the match is replayed, Ghana will still score them. What do you think? Kindly comment and share.
