Ghana's Parliament majority leader Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu believes the Black Stars can beat Portugal and Uruguay in their group.
In Group H, the Black Stars will face Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea. With the West African nation seen as the underdog in the group and also starting the fray as the lowest ranked nation, the Ghanaian politician believes the Black Stars have a squad formidable to defeat their opponents.
"The players we have now are budding stars. Players who need to be physically fit to support Ronaldo's game and I hope that if we get together we can conquer Portugal and Uruguay," he said in the ring.
"I hope but let's unite behind the players and the technical team and I agree with us to play," he said.
Ghana will officially open its camp in Abu Dhabi on November 10. On November 14, Otto Addo will announce his final 26-man roster for the event.
The Black Stars will face Switzerland on November 17 before marching to Qatar the next day.
