Kumasi based club, King Faisal Soccer Club have recorded their first win of the season after defeating Kotoku Royals on the matchday 6 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Insha Allah boys went into the match without a win in their first 5 games of the season and sitting pretty comfortably at the last position of the Ghana Premier league. The Kumasi based club defied the odds to beat Kotoku Royals who are currently 16th on the Ghana Premier League table.

Despite their brilliant performance on the day, King Faisal were given a scare anytime they lost the ball to Kotoku Royals in the game.

Goals from Adom Antwi in the first half and beautifully converted penalty by striker Abednego Tetteh in the second half were enough to give King Fiasal the needed win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoku Royals tried to mount a comeback in the last minutes of the game with Emmanuel Marfo netting a consolation goal to end the scores at 2-1.

King Faisal will travel to face Karela on Wednesday and Kotoku Royals will also welcome Samartex.
