The 2023 African Nations Championship is planned to begin on Friday, January 13 in Algeria.
Ghana will kick off their campaign against Madagascar on January 15 at Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui in Group C.
Annor Walker, Ghana's head coach, has selected 25 of the top players from the local league for the event in the hopes of leading Ghana to their first-ever CHAN victory.

Daniel Afriyie Banieh
Daniel Afriyie Banieh was a key player for Ghana in the qualifications, scoring three goals in four games.His achievement earned him a spot in the Black Stars squad for the FIFA World Cup in 2022. In a pre-World Cup friendly against Switzerland, he made his senior debut, scoring twice.
Barnieh just transferred from Hearts of Oak to FC Zurich in Switzerland, but he won't be able to join his new teammates until after the competition. He wants to make his final event as a local player count.
Awako Gladson
Gladson Awako of Hearts of Oak ,the team's captain. In 2009, Awako was a significant player of Ghana's U-20 World Cup-winning side. The 31-year-old has had a remarkable career, winning 14 titles in all, including the CAF Champions League, Confederations Cup, and Super Cup.
He made his Black Stars debut in 2021, when Ghana defeated Sao Tome & Principe 3-1. Gladson Awako will be looking for his third international championship after winning two U-20 crowns.
Simba Sylvester
Sylvester Simba is one of the most gifted players on the team. The Dreams FC winger's superb talents and dribbling abilities make him a treat to watch.During the competition, he is anticipated to bring his A-game.
Kassim Razak
Razak Kasim, a great Olympic midfielder, was outstanding throughout the qualifications. As the squad's lone defensive midfielder, he orchestrates the team's play, pulling strings to get the team on offensive.
The hardworking midfielder is one to keep an eye on during the tournament.
Danlad Ibrahim
Danlad Ibrahim, 20, is gearing up for his sixth international event. He has represented Ghana at the U-17 African Championship, the FIFA World Cup for U-17s, the WAFU U-20 Championship, and the FIFA World Cup. The only two local players nominated to the Black Stars roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup were Danald and Afriyie Barnieh.
After winning the U-20 AFCON and the WAFU Zone B title, the Asante Kotoko goalkeeper would like to add the CHAN to his trophy cabinet.
