Hearts of Oak move to Eastern region for training camp ahead of resumption of the campaign

Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak have headed to the Eastern region for residential camping ahead of the resumption of the betPawa Premier League in Ghana.

Newly appointed head coach Slavko Matic, took this decision noting that it will aid in their quest to do well when the season continues.

Hearts of Oak, will remain in the Eastern region until a determination is made on the resumption of the league which is on hold following a court action taken against the Ghana Football Association, (GFA) by AshantiGold SC.

"This is good for us. We have to start preparing and make sure we will be ready for the competitions," Coach Matic told the club's media.

The Serbian helmsman, will also use this training camp to get to know his players better after being appointed to the position early this week.

He will look to build the side back to shape after starting the 2022/23 football season on a poor note with the club low on confidence at the moment.

Hearts of Oak are winless in the three league matches they have played this season, and we're bundled out of the CAF Confederation Cup competition by Malian side AS Real Bamako last weekend.

Coach Matic will look to restore confidence in the side, and also introduce his style of play to the team as the look to do well when the season resumes.
