Asante Kotoko beat DOL side Asokwa Deportivo 5-0 in friendly ahead of league resumption

Ghana champions Asante Kotoko beat National Division One League DOL side Asokwa Deportivo 5-0 in a friendly encounter on Wednesday morning.

The game was played at their Adako Jachie training complex near Kumasi as Kotoko continue with their preparations for the resumption of the betPawa Premier League.

Asante Kotoko's goals in this high profile friendly, were scored by Stephen Amankona, Steven Dese Mukwala, Enoch Morrison, Nicholas Mensah and Samuel Boateng, to complete the big win over the DOL Zone Two league side.

Coach Seydou Zerbo and his technical team members, would be happy with the performance of their forwards who scored in this friendly game.

Coach Zerbo, would be particularly pleased with striker Steven Dese Mukwala, who scored in today's game.

The Ugandan international striker, has failed to find the next in the four competitive games he has played for the Porcupines since his arrival, with some questioning whether his move to Kumasi, was the right one.

The Burkina Faso helmsman, will hope Mukwala can translate this scoring form into the league when the competition resumes.

On the part of Asokwa Deportivo, they were using this game as a preparatory fixture ahead of their second game in the DOL Zone Two league this weekend as they seek qualification to the topflight league at the end of the campaign.
