OFFICIAL: Thomas Tuchel has been sacked by Chelsea

Chelsea have affirmed lead trainer Thomas Tuchel has left the club after their Champions League rout to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.

After a late spring of weighty spending which incorporated the signings of protectors of Wesley Fofana, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella, a run of only two dominates in six matches have abandoned the Blues five focuses in the Premier League title race and winless in Europe after one game.

"Chelsea's instructing staff will assume responsibility for the group for preparing and the planning of our impending matches as the Club moves quickly to name another lead trainer.

"There will be no further remark until another lead trainer arrangement is made."

Tuchel cut a melancholy figure after Tuesday night's loss, demanding his side are "obviously not there" execution wise and adding that "everything is absent".

He said: "I'm angry at myself, I am angry at our presentation. I didn't see it coming. We should be greatly improved. We are not gotten done, we are troubled yet I thought we were on a decent way. I'm shocked by this exhibition."
