The ongoing world cup is interesting as expected with fans enjoying themselves as the players battle with each other on the field. Ghana being the lowest-ranked team in the world cup has pulled a surprise to the World in this tournament. Though they lost to Portugal, their performance in the match was shocking after Portugal secured a margin victory in a 5-goal thriller. Ghana rose to the occasion and had their first win in the 2022 world cup in a 3-2 clash against Son Heung Min's South Korea.
From the look of things, Portugal is likely to top their group with Ghana finishing second.
Ghana will like to proceed further to the quarter finals but they are likely to face Brazil in the round of 16 of the world which will be very difficult for Ghana. Brazil will finish first in their group so for Ghana not to play them they'll also have to finish first with Portugal finishing second.
The only way Ghana can finish first is by winning against Uruguay with at least a 3+ goal difference and Portugal losing to South Korea. If this happens both Ghana and Portugal will have a total of 6 points but Ghana will be the group leaders due to the goal difference. If Ghana finishes first they will face the second-placed country in group G. Group G is also not finished yet with every country having the possibility of qualifying for the next round. The quality of the Brazilian team has not been met by any other country in their group and they are expected to have an easy win against Cameroon on Friday. If Cameroon loses, the winner in the match between Serbia and Switzerland will qualify alongside Brazil.
