The fixture which was played behind closed doors saw the Accra based club win by two goals and eventually qualify for the next round due to security reasons in Guinea affecting the second leg of the game.
During the game, here are two things most fans might have missed due to the beauty of the game.
The first one is the contrast in jersey colours. Ahead of the game, Accra Hearts of Oak unveiled their home and away jerseys for the season sponsored by Umbro, a south African based kit brand. The jersey appeared to look nice with the pictures circulating on social media but it looked kind of different when the players wore it to the pitch. Already, most fans have had a second opinion about the jersey saying it was not beautiful as they thought.
The second thing fans might have missed is the tactical brilliance of coach Samuel Boadu. His in-game tactics caused the victory for Accra Hearts of Oak and he must therefore be praised hugely. His choice to bring in Kofi Kordzi saw Hearts take the lead and give them the moral edge against their opponents.
In all it was a brilliant game from Hearts of Oak and fans will be hoping that the team keeps up their performance ahead of the season.
