Former Fulham, Real Vallecano and Black Stars player, Derek Boateng has spoken about Ghana's group in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Derek Bptang was interviewed on Citi Sports and all he had to say was that. If you go back to the 2006 World Cup in which Ghana played. Ghana was highly underestimated. We were in the same group with the United States of America, the Czech Republic, and Italy and it even got to the point where the coach of the USA said that Ghana is not a team he would have any difficulty with. God being so good we qualified and moved on to the next stage of the competition.
He said Ghanaians should not be afraid of South Korea, Uruguay or Portugal in the Group H. If we fight on we will be able to progress easily. These were his actual words" Of course, I remember in 2006 when Ghana was paired with the Czech Republic, Italy, and the USA. The US coach before the tournament said he does not count Ghana but we shocked him and the entire world."
He concluded with "I know we are going to qualify from the Group if the players work as a team."
