African football is gradually developing and gaining international recognition. The continent is blessed with great football talents in and around it. These top talents are raising the flags of their respective countries and the continent at large so high. Some of Africa’s top class players are Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane, Thomas Partey, Kelechi Iheanacho and many others.
This year’s World Cup qualifiers gave African football fans one of the best qualifiers. The intensity of the matches and the wonderful support from the fans made it a joy to watch. One of the matches that gave a lot to the fans was the match between Egypt and Senegal. 
After Senegal won the AFCON competition in Cameroon, they faced Egypt in the playoffs. Senegal sealed a qualification to the World Cup after a penalty shootout. The Senegalese fans were accused of pointing lasers at the Egyptian players. On that note, they have been fined $180,000 by FIFA.
