Accra Hearts of Oak will be ready for the league - Coach David Ocloo

Acting coach David Ocloo said Accra Hearts of Oak will be ready for the resumption of the league after their exit from the African Confederation Cup competition on Sunday.

The Phobians, were eliminated from the competition by Malian side AS Real Bamako on a 3-1 aggregate after their legged affair ended yesterday.

Hearts of Oak won the game played at the Accra Sports Stadium 1-0 with a Caleb Amankwah late winner, but it wasn't enough to see them through to the next round of the campaign, after losing the first leg encounter 3-0 in Bamako, Mali.

However, Coach Ocloo insists they will be ready for the league as they have quality materials in the team to perform.

"We are saddened by our elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup, but that is behind us now and we will prepare for the league," Coach Ocloo said after yesterday's game.

The gaffer, will remain in charge of the team until a new head coach is appointed by Hearts of Oak following the sacking of Samuel Boadu.

"We will pick up the pieces from this defeat to prepare very well for the rest of the campaign," Coach Ocloo added.

Hearts of Oak will look to win back the league title they lost to Asante Kotoko last season as well as defend the FA Cup trophy they have won the last two seasons.

The betPawa Premier League is currently on hold following a court action taken by AshantiGold SC against the Ghana Football Association after being demoted to the regional second division league for match fixing.
