Exclusive: Manchester United News Declan Rice Earmarked Next Summer.

Manchester United NEWS

MUFC have earmarked Declan Rice as their principal midfield target in the 2022 summer transfer window. Figures at the club have already discussed the potential framework for a deal to sign Rice from West Ham.

The MUFC recruitment department was not convinced there was an attainable 'game-changing' defensive midfield option in the market last window. MUFC believe the influence of their England contingent puts them at an advantage over potential Premier League competitors for Declan Rice.

The Brazilian Football Association have asked FIFA to invoke a five-day rule against players who were refused permission to go on international duty, this will mean that Fred cannot play against Newcastle and Young Boys.

FabrizioRomano: "United wanted him to stay, but Everton were really close. Benitez wanted him, the whole board wanted him, so it was more than an idea. It was a done deal between Everton and Donny van de Beek, but Manchester United said no.
