FIFA's world ranking for the last part of the year 2021 might come as quite a surprise to many Ghanaians, as the great football nation is found no where near the top ranked teams of the world.
Understandably, a lot of factors are taken into consideration to be able to rank the teams, but one would expect that, at least the Black Stars be ranked higher than their current position, due to their most recent winning streak and also qualifying to the next round of the FIFA world cup in Qatar 2022.
Like the previous ranking which was done in October, the ranking of the Ghana Black Stars globally has not changed (52) with 1428.97 points, but on the African front, Ghana's position has fallen from 7th position to 8th Position in the latest ranking.
Senegal remains on top of the African rankings, but places 20th in the world ranking. Cameron, who showed amazing performance in their previous matches and was previously ranked 9th, moved to the 7th position, taking over the position of the Blacks Stars in that effect.

On the overall world ranking, Belgium retained their spot at the top, with Brazil and France placing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
As a nation with deep love for football, what does it mean to use? Are our rankings going to get better, especially now that we have a new coach? Can we ever be ranked as 1st in the world. This and other many questions will linger through the minds of Ghanaian as they face the news of the lasted FIFA ranking.
