Pledges and promises troop in during the funeral of Offinso Juvenile football victims

Eight young men aged between 12-15 lost their lives en route to Offinso after registration for an impending football match at Afrancho. These youngsters lost their lives when their vehicle which was overloaded fell over into the Offin river and submerged.

The bodies of four victims have already been buried. Of which two of the victims were Muslims and two were severally battered to be held in the mogue for a long time.

The Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Sports were present to support the bereaved families of the victims. The ministry promised to build ultra modern sports stadium at Offinso. Cash support of 10,000 Ghana cedis is also to be distributed to all the victims both alive and deceased by the Ministry.

Kevin Prince Boateng who also came through the youth system of football showed his condolences and expressed how sad and devastating the situation is. Kevin pledged to help the deceased and alive young footballers families in cash and kind.

Kevin Prince Boateng currently plays for the Italian Serie B football team, A. C. Monza as a mid fielder.May the good Lord keep these young souls till the next life.
