Ghana’s midfield general, Thomas Partey featured for Arsenal in their seasonal friendly game against AC Milan as part of preparations for the second half of the league season.
Thomas Partey was part of the Ghana squad that failed to progress from the group stages of the World Cup tournament in Qatar. The midfielder has been at the receiving end of several criticisms with many of the fans questioning his commitment and playing style for the Black Stars.
Thomas Partey featured in all 3 games for the Black Stars in the group stage but did very little to inspire confidence in the area of midfield for the team from Ghana. The Black Stars were eliminated after a defeat to Uruguay in the last group game of the tournament.
Partey returned to Arsenal’s training camp shortly after the team exited from the tournament and received his first minutes for the club side in the friendly game against AC Milan. Arsenal recorded a 2 – 1 win over the Italian side.
