Captain for the Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew has disclosed that he has a personal ambition and dreams to win a trophy with the senior national team of Ghana.

Dede Ayew currently has 108 appearances for Ghana and will be the most capped player if he plays in the next two matches.

Speaking ahead of the friendly game with lower ranked side Nicaragua, the player disclosed that he does not have any personal targets but winning a trophy – be it an AFCON or World Cup with Ghana is certainly one he would like to relish in the near future.

Dede Ayew was part of the team that finished second in the 2010 and 2015 AFCON finals. The player was also present when the Black Stars were shockingly knocked out in the group stages in the last edition of the AFCON.

The player said “ I won the Under-20 AFCON and the Under-20 World Cup trophies, but my only target is to win a trophy in the Black Stars jersey, any trophy that I can win — AFCON or the World Cup trophy. That’s my goal, that’s my aim and that’s what I pray and work hard for every day.”
