Coach Konadu Maxwell wins Player Statute Committee case against his former side Asante Kotoko Sporting Club as he has been awarded a total of $105k for wrongful termination of his contract.
Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah terminated the contract of coach Maxwell Konadu in December last year following a one nil lost to Accra Great Olympics.
This goes down as one of the decision of the young CEO which has had serious repercussions on the CEO and the club.
The coach wrote to the club to demand for his financial benefits as a results of the contract termination. The case was furthered to the player statute committee of the Ghana Football Association and the case has been ruled in favour of the coach.
The club is not in a good state in terms of finances. Owner of the club Otumfuo Osei Tutu ll gave them some financial assistant not long ago and it is sad the club has to pay this amount in these hard financial times.
