The game of football would continue to be the most loved sports all over the world. Ghana is of no exception as there are many football lovers in the country especially lovers of the Black Stars of Ghana. However, the team has over the past five years failed to live up to expectation as they are being knocked out in every tournament they have participated in.
Most Ghanaians are attributing the failure to the management of the national team. The country have had three different coaches over the past 5 years and all of them failed to yield positive results.
Kwesi Appiah who was sacked after the 2014 world cup in Brazil was recalled after Avram Grant failed to live up to expectation as well. C.K Akornnor took charge of the national team after Kwesi Appiah's failure to impress at the 2019 AFCON where the stars were knocked out at the round of 16 stage. He is currently the head coach of the Black Stars but in my opinion, he is not good enough to handle the job.
Avram Grant should therefore be given the second chance to prove his worth at the team. He has done a great job within his short stay at the team. He sent the team to the 2015 AFCON finals but was unfortunate enough to get his hands on the trophy. He never gave up at the 2017 AFCON where the stars were knocked out at the semi finals by Cameroon.
I think he has a lot in his bag for the black stars. We could have won a trophy if he was still with the black stars till date. He was sacked just when he was getting used to the players. He should therefore be recalled to handle the team.
