Ever since she stepped into the Tv3 limelight, we have seen her attach passion to every activity of hers, no matter how minute the significance of that action is. After revealing her first heartbreak experience and after attaching yet another passionate gesture, and hoping things change for the better, Cookie Tee is again left disappointed after the recent disqualification of the Black Stars from AFCON2021.
During one of the sports discussions on TV some months ago, she revealed that her first heartbreak was eleven(almost 12) years ago when popular striker and former captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan, disappointed her big time after a penalty miss during the 2010 World Cup against Uruguay. The experience she said, left her as devastated as other Ghanaians during the time. Unfortunately, her high hopes have been dashed again as Ghana returns home after making it far into the Group Stage of AFCON2021.
Although some Ghanaians were psyched up for another disappointment, they still gave space for a little hope after a brilliant performance by the Black Stars and paid rapt attention to the scores and game at hand. Unfortunately, we tried our best but were still defeated and Cookie did not take kindly to Dede Ayew, a star performer, being given a red card and to top it all up, a disqualification. She has described her current state as “not feeling well” and we hope she recovers soon enough although the situation is a bitter pill to swallow. The Black Stars did their best, and we wish them better luck next time and advice that they do not rest on their oars but to try and do better.
