The Black Stars of Ghana failed to qualify for the round sixteen of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after losing two games and winning just one of them.
The Black Stars lost their opening game by 3-2 against Portugal before managing to claim all three points against South Korea via a 3-2 victory.
The Black Stars however sent shockwaves down the spine of all Ghanaians after they lost painfully to Uruguay by 2-0 in the third and final group game.

The results were under the tutelage of outgone coach, Otto Addo who has since stepped down after the expiration of his contract.
Ex-Ghana international, Shilla Illiasu says the new coach that comes to take over the Black Stars must be give free hand to operate.
“To me I will advise, if a coach is appointed, the coach should do his job one hundred percent.
“Whether you are a Black Stars management committee member or what, don’t try and force players for coach to me that one affected us not to perform since the last Africa Cup.” Shilla Illiasu told Radio Gold Sports.
