WC Qualifiers: Black Stars Of Ghana Wrap Up Preparations For South Africa For Tomorrow's Game

Black Stars of Ghana will come up against Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a World Cup qualifier tomorrow. Coach Milovan Rajevac and his charges have landed in Cape Coast as they wrap up preparations for the epic showdown. The game - scheduled to take place in Ghana - has the capability of deciding whether Ghana will be part of the contingent for the final round of qualifiers. The Group G contest is narrowed down to Bafana Bafana of South Africa and the Black Stars of Ghana. Black Stars of Ghana are caught up in a dicey moment after losing to Ethiopia, Thursday.

In that encounter at the Orlando Stadium, the Black Stars churned out poor show despite taking an early lead through skipper Dede Ayew’s free kick.

Ethiopia staged a spirited second half performance to even the scores.

The pressure on Black Stars played to the advantage of Ethiopia as they brilliantly exploited loopholes, capitalized on that to earn their long-desired equalizer.

Following that outcome, coach Hugo Broos masterminded a 1 - 0 win over Zimbabwe at home. Bafana Bafana had been penciled for heavy win over the opponent, but that did not come into fruition as they had to settle on Teboho Mokoena’s first half brilliance.

Hugo Broos and his lads sit the scalp of Group G with 13 points, followed keenly by Milovan Rajevac and his charges with 10 points. With three points setting apart both Bafana Bafana and Black Stars, the two teams are locked up in a delicate situation as they square off. Goal difference is the ultimate route which will be deployed in the case of tie, which is looming largely per initial analysis.

Black Stars have everything to play for, if World Cup ambition is atop on the scale of preference. The team is caught up in a dilemma, of which qualification hinges on how impressive they become in the final group clash. Milovan Rajevac and the players are the ones who can right the wrongs and earn a play off spot this weekend. There must be a concerted approach for tomorrow’s engagement. Players have their part to play on the field by ensuring chances are created for goals, and at the same time ensuring that they defend to the brim.

The coach, on his part, must be on alert to map out a system and strategy potent for success. The task will be demanding as envisaged and that means, he must come out with the best ideas and directions for victory.

The stakes are high and the timing makes it right for all to come on board and propel the team to success.
