The Man of the Match (MOTM) in Kotoko against WAFA SC was Ibrahim Imoro. The left back who did tremendously well by making sure that the players of WAFA will not use his side as a loop hole to steal Kotoko defense. The left-back on his performance has won the heart of the Ghana Black Stars coach C.K Akonnor, that have got him a call up to the senior national team.
The young chap was earlier on among the few players that was left to be part of the 23 man squad of the Black Stars during their qualifying matches. He was second to the former Kotoko left-back Baba Rahman Abdul. These has all added up to the confident level of the player to move beyond standard, making him win the Man of the Match against an experience side.
The same thing applies to the Hearts of Oak left-back Raddy Ovouka who has also shown he is different from the left-backs in the league. Looking at the style of play as a Congolese, he will have got the spot ahead of Imoro at the Black Stars level with his strength and other abilities.
Imoro after the match was question that why did they draw the game by a Presenter after the game with WAFA. He said " We tried to put in our best and ensure that victory will be on our side but that didn't come through.
Showing that if it was our win we would have gotten more goal's. Hearts of Oak can be the factor to other players but not me because I cared less about their performance. All we need to do is to win our matches as well" Ibrahim Imoro on Startimes post match interview.
