The number of substitution board provided by the GFA to be used across all leagues are small but in the mean time this is what we can use to curb the situation. The amount of money in the league is not enough with regards to the equipment we need to push the common interest of the clubs.
The Ghana Football Association has purchased 10 electronic two-sided substitution boards for domestic competitions. It is a 23.5cm board with high brightness LED display with optimal readability of 100m and 150 degrees wide readability.
It comes with a Polycarbonate drop resistant case with IP56 weather protection with easy to set membrane keyboard and long battery life and double sided with carry bag. These interventions by the GFA, are aimed at improving refereeing to enhance their performance across competitions. “This one is electronic, its not the manual one that you have to turn and turn and turn, and sometimes when you are turning and if you are not careful, you even make mistakes with it. But for this one, it is electronic, it is two sided, it shows front and back.
The equipment will encourage the facilitation of their work. The populace has been backlashing the GFA for a long time but this time onwards I hope the direction of this Ghana Football Association in particular is trying to do something different to clear the bad name on the past organisation.
The boards add to the communication gadgets that was introduced by the GFA before the beginning of the 2020/21 season. The gadgets are going to be used in all Premier, Division One and Women’s Premier League matches.
