Ghanaian players who played inter schools competition before gaining qualification to play for Ghana

The black stars of Ghana can boast of so many great talents, some still play professional football for club and country whilst others have also retired from football.

Some of these players who had the opportunity to play for the black stars of Ghana national team had it from inter schools competitions from the various senior high schools.

Starting with Sulley Muntari he was playing his inter schools game for Okumfour Anokye senior high school, his performance was outstanding and he was picked to come and play for the black stars of Ghana under 17 before gaining opportunity to play at the senior level.

Micheal Essien is also a retired midfielder, he went to saints Augestines college and was scouted to come play for the black stars of Ghana due to his performance and style of play.

Also Derek Boateng had his scout at Mfantipim senior high school when he was playing for the school, he was also the captain of the team in his era.

He was given the opportunity to play for the black stars of Ghana.

All these players with their hard work were able to play in the World Cup.
