The penultimate games of the season came to a conclusion yesterday as very importantly Frank Lampard's Everton side managed to produce a miraculous win in order to secure their place in the English premier league next season.
The toffees had to fight from two goals down to win by three goals to two with English striker Dominic Calvert Lewin scoring the winner late on in the game to send the whole stadium into frenzy.
This result means that at the bottom of the table it is Burnley and Leeds United who have to secure a positive result on the last match day to ensure their survival. Norwich city and Watford however have been officially relegated but we will have to wait till the final day to see which club joins them.
At the top half of the table it is Liverpool who will be praying for Manchester city to loose points against Aston Villa on the last match day to have a chance of clinching the title. Steven Gerard never won the title for Liverpool as a player but he is in pole position to give Liverpool a hand in winning the title this season.
Tottenham has climbed above Arsenal into the fourth position ie the final champions league spot and Chelsea have secured a third place finish with a game left to play. There is still a lot to play for heading into the final round of games this season and it's only going to get interesting.
