Hearts of Oak creates new team to complement the league winning squad

The GFA in the Premier League has also been engaging a lot of teams to bring up a better academy system and a strong youth team from U17 and women’s team to be part of the team.

Hearts of Oak is a winning team in the league 2020/21 season and have tried everything possible to continue the way they want it to be.

In some recent requirements the GFA chose the home grounds that are prepared for national team matches as not ready and qualified for the 2021/22 season. Both Accra Sports Stadium and Baba Yara Stadium et al, have all been asked to work on their home grounds.

The league next season will see the likes of Women’s team with all the clubs and the U17 team won’t be a worry because of their junior teams representing the clubs.

This is going to be a headache for Togbe Afede XIV who will in all aspect pay the players in all this level. The team have not suffered too much when it comes to transition from the Auroras to the senior team.

Mitchell Sarpong, Benjamin Nana Yeboah, Abdul Manaf Umar, Franklin Owusu et al are all part of the junior side of Hearts of Oak. Most of the players are going to make it on loan as they show their talent in a competitive match.

And they will be able to make it elsewhere as R.T.U is coming for Manaf Umar on a 2 years loan deal. Issa Coker is one of the players spotted by coach Samuel Boadu when they came in an encounter with the Auroras team in a friendly match.

The young boy is now warming himself at the bench of Hearts and will become the next generation to lift trophies for the club in some years to come.

Next season will not see only the senior team representing the Phobia colours but there will be a women’s team in addition.

This is going a long way to rise the standard of the team and better impact in the CAF competition and the competitiveness in the league.
