“Asante Kotoko’s Head Coach Arrived Too Late” - Ex-Ghana International

Veteran coach and ex-Ghana international, Karim Zito says Kotoko suffered the CAF Champions League elimination due to the late arrival of their trainer.

The Porcupine Warriors were led to the CAF Champions League by Burkinabe coach, Seydou Zerbo who replaced Prosper Narteh Ogum. Karim Zito spoke on yesterday’s edition of the Gold Talk Sport.

Asante Kotoko managed to pip the Burkina Faso Club by 1-0 in the first leg at the General Mathieu Kerekou Friendship Stadium in Bénin.

The second leg was a worse spectacle to be behold at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium where the Porcupine Warriors got eliminated.

Asante Kotoko lost by 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and when it mattered most in the penalty shootouts, Asante Kotoko failed to glitter.

Asante Kotoko wasted three of their kicks with Rail Club de Kadiogo scored three times and wasted twice to eliminate Asante Kotoko from the preliminary stages of the CAF Champions League.
