Asante Kotoko to Redeem Their Image Against Hearts of Oak

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will want to redeem their image against their arch rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak in the third week of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.

The defending league champions had a humiliating campaign in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League after the annexation of last season’s domestic league.

The Fabulous lads started the 2022/23 CAF Champions League campaign on a good note after traveling to Bénin to claim a 1-0 victory in the first leg against Burkina Faso club, Rail Club de Kadiogo.

The return leg at the Baba Yara Spprts Stadium was an obnoxious spectacle to behold when the Porcupine Warriors lost by 1-0 at home.

The game went into penalty shootouts but the Porcupine Warriors could not do much from the spot kick.

The defending league champions wasted three of their spot kicks with Rail Club de Kadiogo squandering two of their kicks.

Asante Kotoko scored just one of their kicks with the Burkina Faso club scoring three of their kicks to end the game at 3-1 for the Burkina Faso club at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
