Man Utd And Chelsea In Battle For African Striker

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly in a battle for Gabon’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

The player who had his contract with Arsenal terminated in January has found a new life at Barcelona and is producing a lot of goal contributions.

Barcelona are ready to listen to offers for the player due to their economic situation. However, Chelsea who have already agreed a fee with the club are far of in agreement with the player. According to sources, the blues are holding out a one year contract for the player who will turn 34 soon. Aubameyang on the other hand only wants a 2 year contract.

Manchester United have signalled their interest in signing the player if they fail to land Antony of Ajax or Cristiano Ronaldo leaves the club before the end of the transfer window.

With just a few days to the end of the transfer window, it will be interesting to see which of the two clubs will move in pole position to sign the forward.
