The former Great Olympics man will be part of the squad that will be guests of Asante Kotoko in week 24 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, April 10. Hearts of Oak have had the upper hand on Kotoko in their last two meetings with their first leg clash ending goalless at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians defeated the Porcupine Warriors by 2-1 to lift the 2022 President’s Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium. The two sides are coming into the clash with slim victories where Kotoko stunned city rivals, King Faisal 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium with Hearts beating Medeama by the same score line in Accra. Gladson Awako admits the game will not come easy at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
“We all know this game between Hearts and Kotoko, you know it’s not just about playing but you need to psyche yourself well. “And as a team I believe we are ready and the team spirit too is good. “Training, the games we’ve been playing, we keep improving game after game so I believe it’s going to be a good game in Kumasi.” Gladson Awako told StarTimes.
