Leipzig has completed their third summer signing, as confirmed by the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Chelsea and RB Leipzig have signed the contracts for Timo Werner's deal. All were completed during the night for a €20m guaranteed fee plus add-ons. He signed up to 2026.
Full agreement was reached during the weekend. After Timo Werner struggled to find his goalscoring prowess during two years in England at Chelsea, he has gone back to Germany. The German player scored 9 goals in all competitions last season. Timo Werner has arrived in Germany, and he will undergo medical tests later today.
Both teams agreed on a fee for Timo Werner, which is less than half of what the Blues paid for him. When Romano says' here we go 'on a deal, then it’s pretty much as good as a club officially confirming it. The fans of Leipzig are very excited to welcome the Chelsea star and they are willing that Timo Werner will play his best at their club. Follow me for more.
