Black Stars striker, Felix Afena-Gyan has signed a new contract with the Italian club, AS Roma.
The 19-year-old has agreed terms on a four-year extension that runs until 2026.
He made six starts, 11 substitute Serie A appearances, scoring two goals under renowned manager, Jose Mourinho last season.
“When I first came here with the U-18, I told myself I need to take this opportunity to get to the first team and God being so good, I made it to the first team.
“I was the youngest among the team and when I got that chance, I said bro, I need to grab and that’s all.
“You know, I learnt from the last season so I need to work on where like I was weak to improve more so we see what happens this season.
“I’m very ready, I’m always ready, I’m ready to go, yeah.” Afena Gyan told the club’s media.
Felix Afena Gyan scored his debut goal in Ghana’s 3-1 win over Madagascar in the opening 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
He has six international caps with a goal under his belt.
