Chelsea falls down flat at the Craven Cottage against Fulham.
Things are moving from bad to worse for the West London club Chelsea. Supporters and sympathizers of the club thought that the game against Fulham was going to be the final turning point for the Blues in the premier league. Chelsea has a remarkable record against their London rivals so one would have thought this is the time.
However Fulham had their own ideas. Former belues star Willian Borges da Silva opened the scores for the in form Fulham side. Despite Chelsea playing very well in the first half. The same old problem in front of goal, that final cutting edge prevented Chelsea from getting a goal in the first half.
There were glimpses of things to come from loanee Joao Felix.
Kalidou Koulibally got Chelsea level until Joao Felix's savage tackle warranted him being given his marching orders by the referee in the 58th minute. The red card dumped the spirit of the team. Fulham started to play confidently due to the man advantage. They got the second goal through Carlos Vinicious.
Chelsea's cult hero Kai Harvertz had the last chance to savage a point for the Blues in injury time but his volley was saved by the Fulham goalkeeper.
Graham Potter is having a very hard time at Chelsea and the board could call for his head in the next few days.
