Exclusive: Ashanti Gold have secured another Court injunction on the Ghana Premier League.

Ahead of this weekend's games, Ashantigold SC has once again requested a judicial injunction against the Ghana Premier League.

The Obuasi-based team is contesting the GFA's decision to demote them from the top division to the third division earlier this year after they were found guilty of match-fixing.

The Human Rights Court dropped the Ashantigold-filed injunction on the league earlier this week, and league games are anticipated to resume on Saturday.

Ashantigold SC, who successfully appealed the injunction's dismissal to the Appeals Court, may cause a shocking shift in the course of events.

The first home game between Accra Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars was officially scheduled for today, Saturday, October 29, 2022, but it has been postponed because of the current injunction.

The Women's League and other lesser divisions will continue to play even though the Ghana Football Association has not commented on the current injunction.

The injunction obtained means that Samartex fans will have to wait for a while. The new Nsienkyire Park, which was examined and approved by the Club Licensing Board, was where they had wanted to watch their team play.
