Mubarak Wakaso becomes the first Ghanaian player to achieve this feat

The Chinese Super League is gradually becoming one of the fastest growing football leagues in the world. Several renowned footballers and coaches are plying their trade in the Chinese top-flight, and Ghanaian players are no exception. The likes of Nii Odartey Lamptey, Kwame Ayew, Lee Addy, Dan Quaye, Asamoah Gyan and a host of other Ghanaian players have featured for various clubs in the league.

Currently, Frank Acheampong, Emmanuel Boateng and Mubarak Wakaso are also making Ghana proud in the Asian country. All these players (past and present) were very instrumental for their clubs. However, Mubarak Wakaso has become the first Ghanaian player to clinch the SL title with Jiangsu Suning. The player helped the club to achieve this historic feat in his first season.

The player missed the Black Stars game against Sudan in order to play a part in the historic game. It was the club's first title in the league. Thus, Wakaso will go into the history books of the club.

The midfielder is expected to report at the Black Stars camp for the return encounter against Sudan on Tuesday, 17th November, 2020.
