Manchester United advanced to the FA Cup quarter-finals as Argentinian wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho scored an incredible late goal against West Ham United.
After winning the Carabao Cup few days ago against Newcastle United, the Red Devils endured a tough half where they failed to create any meaningful chances against West Ham United in the FA cup on 1st March, 2023.
In the second half of the game, West Ham took a controversial shock lead after Said Benhrama rattled the ball into the net, however, the replays seemed to show the ball was out of play in the build-up but VAR let the goal stood.
Nayef Aguerd's own goal gave United a tie, and with the match tivking toward a draw, it was Garnacho who stepped up with the goods in the closing stages. A stunning right-footed finish into the bottom corne sent Old Trafford into pandemonium.
Brazilian midfielder, Fred later sealed the win after his late strike made it 3-1 to the Old Trafford club as United marched onto the last eight of the competition.
Fans were quick to react to the youngster's goal.
One said, "Some strike from the boy Garnacho, marvelous, marvelous."
