Ghana Media journalist Shirley Tibilla, known professionally as Cookie Tee, said Ghana's most prolific shooter of all time, Asamoah Gyan, broke his heart years ago.
Speaking to Komla Adom's TV3 sports journalist Cookie Tee, who said he was passionate about the sport, recalling how Asamoah Gyan missed Ghana's most important penalty in the world, which was held in South Africa and could historically take the Black Stars to the semi-finals of football.
Cookie Tee reveals that the penalty that Gyan missed eleven years ago left his heart shattered into pieces and still resonates in his subconscious.
"The first person to break my heart was Asamoah Gyan. It was 11 years ago after I missed a penalty that I could have really enjoyed," said Cookie Tee. "It really hurts a lot. However, I am happy that a love for football grew within me. "I can't keep my love of football because I'm back supporting the Ghana team", he added.
