Information we are picking suggest that Asante Kotoko has shortlisted top-notch coaches to replace Coach Prosper Ogum who tendered in his resignation at the board and technical meeting held today, 20/07/2022.
There are rumors making rounds that the former coach was unsatisfied that the club is selling some of the key players that helped him to win the league last season with Mudasiru gone, Gama out and likely for Mbella to go.
Top names have emerged as replacement for Coach Ogum. Names such as Bechem United head coach Kasim Mingle, Bismark Kobi- Mensah formerly of Samartex, former player of Kotoko,Annor Walker who is currently coaching Great Olympics and Ernst Middendorp who once coached both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have been shortlisted.
If the management are able to work quickly, chances are that a new coach will be named in the coming days. However, the board have asked the Nana Yaw Amponsah management to talk Prosper Ogum out of his resignation.
