Black Stars Of Ghana To Hold First Training Session At Baba Yara Stadium Early Next Week

With Baba Yara Sports Stadium set to host the imminent World Cup qualifier between Black Stars of Ghana and Super Green Eagles of Nigeria, coach Otto Addo and his lads will be holding their first training session at the said facility. The team are billed to prepare adequately for the crucial encounter. 

As Ghana football officials and Black Stars management committee continue to hold on to the official squad for the assignment, players who have been invited will be begin to touch down from this weekend. 

Many names have been thrown out for earning an invite to wear the national colors. Sulley Ali Muntari, goalkeepers Richard Atta and Danlad Ibrahim have been mentioned to have been received invitation as local players. Host of Ghanaian internationals have had their names bundled out as making the list for the upcoming task.

Even though Ghana Football Association has appealed the suspension of skipper Dede Ayew, which he accumulated at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, the Al Sadd forward is expected in camp to guide his colleagues, share his experience for a successful matches. Coach Otto Addo is rumored to have invited 27 players for the duty but as they arrive and begin preparations next week, there will be the chance to know those who have been invited to represent Ghana.

As they arrive in Ghana, coach Otto Addo and his assistants will be looking forward to assembling early to avoid a delay in preparations. As a matter of importance, the Black Stars will be converging in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, to commence preparations for the game. 

As they expect all players to arrive without delays and challenges, coach Otto Addo will begin work, and put the team into proper shape. The team will be going through all the rudiments required to put them at the best fitness level for the opponent.

Training sessions could be held behind closed doors as Ghana is not ready to create a window for blemishes. There could strict measures to ensure the team does not encounter any unexpected interruptions that could derail their efforts.

Technical Advisor Chris Hughton, Otto Addo, George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani have a daunting task of guiding Black Stars to this year’s World Cup to be staged in Qatar. Following the 2014 Brazil fiasco, Black Stars of Ghana were absent in the previous edition. It is the expectations of many that the team will make it to the global tournament.
